PocketPi Zero X review: the tiny board that finally has enough RAM
A credit-card-sized single-board computer with 4 GB RAM, USB-C power and a GPIO header that keeps your old HATs working.
Sample review: fictional product used as placeholder content. Replace with your own.
Hardware
The board is the same footprint as the classic tiny boards, which means every case and HAT you already own fits.
Software
The vendor image boots quickly, but mainline kernel support is incomplete: hardware video decode needs the vendor kernel.
Thermals
Under a sustained compile job the SoC reached 78 °C bare and 61 °C with a stick-on heatsink. Budget for one.
Verdict
Recommended for projects, less so if you need long-term software updates.
