Halcyon H2 Thunderbolt dock review: ports for days, firmware for later
Fourteen ports, 96 W charging and dual 4K output. The H2 looks perfect on paper; a few weeks of use tell a more complicated story.

On paper
Fourteen ports, dual 4K and 2.5 GbE: it reads like the last dock you will ever need.
In practice
Displays failed to wake from sleep about one time in five on both macOS and Windows laptops. Unplugging and replugging fixed it every time, but you should not have to.
Verdict
Revisit after the next firmware release. Until then, look elsewhere.
