First impressions

The K75 arrives in a box that is heavier than some laptops, and that weight is the first hint about what is inside: a CNC aluminium case, a gasket-mounted FR4 plate and enough foam layers to silence a server room.

Typing feel and sound

Out of the box the stock linears are smooth with a muted, round bottom-out. The gasket mount gives a little flex without feeling mushy. On our decibel meter it measured 42 dB at typing distance, quieter than the office average.

Wireless and battery

Switching between 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth and wired takes a single key combo. Over two weeks of 8-hour days with the backlight off we recharged once.

Software

The K75 supports VIA in the browser, so remapping layers or the knob needs no installer. Firmware is open source.

Should you buy it?

If you want one keyboard that sounds premium, works with every machine on your desk and leaves room to mod later, yes.
